Cleanings and Exams

We teach all our patients that regular cleanings and examinations form the foundation of a healthy smile. We want our patients to retain every single tooth for their whole lives. To do this, any small problems that appear should be addressed at the first moment possible. When we see you every six months for a preventative dentistry visit, it is possible to accomplish this goal.

I Am Due For A Cleaning

What will we do at your routine preventative visit?

We find out if there are any areas bothering you so we can give them special attention.
Dr. Lipson examines your teeth and past dental work to identify any problems that need to be treated. Your gums will also be inspected for any signs of gum disease.
At some visits, we take x-ray images to look for problems hidden under fillings, between teeth or under the gums.
If needed, you will receive a treatment plan that shows you the exact steps to bring your dental and oral health up to 100%.
If you have come in for a hygiene appointment, we will clean away tartar that has accumulated and polish your teeth to leave the surface smooth and remove light stains.
